About this tool

MacScapes is a live wallpaper app for the Mac that draws its scenes in real time on the GPU instead of playing video loops. Pick from 42 scenes (mist, aurora, koi, rain on glass, a campfire, a black hole) and recolor any of them with 48 palettes.

Each scene comes with desktop widgets, folder icons and an optional ambient soundscape in the same colors. Save the set as a vibe and let it change on its own: one for mornings, one for deep work, a warmer one at sunset, a lighter one on battery.

Rendering pauses whenever windows cover the desktop, so it stays light on power. No account and no ads.
