This Privacy Policy explains how Amphibian Digital LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of twelve.tools, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and services. By using twelve.tools, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

  • Listing information: when you submit a tool or website, we collect the website URL, the tool name, a headline, a description, the chosen category and your email address. We may also take and store a screenshot of the submitted website.
  • Technical data: when you submit a website, verify a badge or use the contact form, we temporarily record your IP address and the action performed in order to protect the service against abuse (rate limiting).
  • Analytics: we use Ahrefs Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This service may set cookies and collect usage data. See Ahrefs' privacy policy for details.
  • Local storage: we store your dark/light theme preference in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.

3. How we use your data

  • To publish and display your listing on twelve.tools (publicly visible to all visitors).
  • To contact you about your submission (confirmation, status updates, live-listing notification).
  • To process payments through our payment provider Stripe, and to deliver paid listing benefits.
  • To protect the service against abuse, spam and fraud.
  • To improve the website through anonymous analytics.

4. Payments

Payments for paid listings are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for these transactions. We do not store your payment card details. Stripe collects the information necessary to process the payment (such as your name, email, billing country and payment method) under its own Privacy Policy and Terms.

5. AI-generated content

To speed up submissions, we may generate listing descriptions using artificial intelligence (AI) based on the content of the submitted website. These descriptions are offered as suggestions only — you can review and edit them before your listing goes live.

6. Data retention

Listing data (name, URL, email, description, screenshot) is kept as long as the listing is live on twelve.tools. When a listing is removed, its data is deleted. IP-based rate-limiting records are kept for a limited period and used only for abuse prevention. If you want your data removed, contact us through the contact form and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us via the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Third parties

We share data only with the service providers required to run twelve.tools: Stripe (payments), Ahrefs (analytics), and our hosting and email providers. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
